are there plans to add custom kernel support? pv grub makes this more
secure
http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/PvGrub

this along with more ips per instance is probably the most valuable for
a reseller, disk support is great already

ive also submitted this to the wish list but didnt get added, does this
mean a no? :-)

reminder pv grub/custom kernel means one will be able to run his own
optimized kernel, a hardened kernel, an openvz or some other vps slicing
kernel, or even freebsd and those..
I requested custom kernel support too :)

It means the wishlist is moderated and your request is still in the pipe
and should be acknowledge soon ^_^

The *BSD system are not ready for running in paravirt mode. There still
work to to upstream to get a decent boot and all needed features
impletemented (memory ballooning for example).

For OpenVZ and other container system, I think it will not be a prority
as already have share to build specific system for each of your project
^_^

And about security framework, you already can use SELinux in some of the
distribution available. Still, other security framework will be
available in some futur.
im pretty sure i can work around anything like you mentioned or wait,
but i, like others, just want pv-grub, if gandi can offer it, if not..
theres 2 other providers out there with pv grub that i could find, one
is a rock solid one
im just asking for something that i think i need so that i have
everything i need at GANDI :-)

on a same ram size box as my share here at gandi im running up to 8
openvz containers to isolate several systems, you cant chroot like
openvz like you do jail on fbsd on linux, so .. need openvz
for bsd not ready.. im sure anyone making it boot with pv grub can
manage it too i personally dont want fbsd ive just mentioned pv grub can
solve that request too.. and selinux, cmon, you should know better :->

things should move faster, so should disks here
all the rest is awesome :-)
trying to bump this up.

I got a problem with Fedora 12 which had been solved by support by changing
kernel version. Clearly it's time to let us to choose our own kernel and
boot parameters. Other VPS vendors already do this! Why isn't this in the
request queue?
