I am noticing that I/O errors on xvda according to dmesg:

blkfront: xvda: write barrier op failed
blkfront: xvda: barriers disabled
end_request: I/O error, dev xvda, sector 10738135
end_request: I/O error, dev xvda, sector 10738135
JBD2: wait_on_commit_record: sync failed on xvda3-8 - disabling barriers

xvda3 happens to be where my

This error are resulting of a test of the barriers features on your drive.
You can safely ignore them.

If you want to be sure of the sate of your drive, you can stop the server,
detach the disk and attach it to another server to fsck the filesystem.

Please look for "I get "end-request: I/O error, dev xvdx , sector xxxxxxx"
on each disk using a 2.6.36 kernel" in our FAQ hosting :
