Hello, I changed my domain to use GANDI DNS. Now I can't find where I can edit the zone file. In the "Illustrated Guide" there is a page that explains, but it says I am supposed to see a page with a "Technical Settings" column, but I never see that page. I am logged in to my domain console, but the only choices in the menu are "Update DNS" (which means change the servers) or "Change zone file" but that only offers pre-written zones for gandi hosting. How do I get to the interface for actually managing DNS????

Are you saying that the customer must make Gandi authoritative before you will let him configure his zone? That is extremely silly. If you would let a Gandi customer configure his zone BEFORE he switches to the Gandi DNS servers, this would eliminate any need for downtime in the transition, and this would make your service much more attractive.
