In case you're still out there listening: You can. If you want to use Adsense, get the code from Google and copy it in a Text Widget. It will appear in the sidebar. Ads inside messages are also possible, but only if you use the xhtml mode, and not the regular wiki mode. So you'll have to master the xhtml for that.
