My client has access to their admin control panel but it has no DNS facility on it. The person who used to manage the DNS has long since left the company. What's worse, their hosting company has not given them any notice and changed the name servers which need to be updated on Gandi.net. Now my client's site is down and so is their mail... and they can't access the GANDI DNS control panel (or even ask for a password reset because their mail is down). Any suggestions? Thanks Nikki

Hi Nikki, If there is no link to manage the DNS zone, that is because the domain is not using Gandi's DNS. In that case, you will need to see with the web hosting company that uses the nameservers, because only they have access to the zone of the DNS. It is only possible to change your zone file at Gandi if you are using our DNS: a.dns.gandi.net b.dns.gandi.net c.dns.gandi.net By looking up your domain in any whois search engine (ex: http://www.gandi.net/whois), you will be able to see what your nameservers are. Best regards,

This is a usenet group, and not a forum and so posts cannot be deleted once they are published. It is possible to remove them from viewing on this interface only, but this would have no effect on the mails already downloaded by subscribers or the articles that reply to the original post... This being said, your question is a very good one that will help others that end up in the same situation :) Best regards,
Ryan http://www.gandi.net/
