I have a semi-working Debian 4 VPS with Gandi.net. I've tried every way I know how to set the domainname and make it stick, but whenever I reboot the server, I'm back to hostname returning the hostname (fs01), and hostname -d returning nothing. Where... more»

my hostname defined by dhcp is hovel2. but it's not qualified hostname, and sendmail can't work properly. I used posftix with halo as a temporary solution, but i hope it will be fixed.... more»

Gandi has placed their public ssh key in root's .ssh/authorized_keys file. This makes me think Gandi intends to access my server, perhaps to help me with problems. I usually put my public key in that file. If I had not, by chance, noticed their key... more»

The hardware my server is running on appears capable of 64 bit instructions? The distribution I installed, Centos, is the 32 bit version. Is Dom0 64 bit? Can we run 64 bit domU's? Is the 64 bit version of Centos available?... more»
